How much work will I need to do once the trust is in place?

Not much. The IRS, the Franchise Tax Board, and the County Assessor’s office ignore these trusts, so there’s nothing “extra” to do for them.  Over the years, you should review the list of who is involved with your plan and keep the list current.  That isn’t hard.  The biggest challenge will be getting your current assets into the trust and making sure new assets go into it. As a result, we strongly encourage you to review title to your assets regularly after your trust has been created.
